For Roaming Hunger, I pitched, designed and wrote various content to drive traffic, improve SEO and increase conversion for both clients & partners, including the two blog posts linked above.

For the first, I audited RH's existing LA clients and curated a list of food trucks that would appeal specifically to an office with NY expats. Over the course of 3 months, office bookings more than doubled for every vendor mentioned, with some more than quadrupling.

After, I documented the rise of South Central chefs and home-grown entrepreneurs who were cooking in backyards or popping up in unorthodox locales, and using Instagram to amass cult followings. This blog gained traction across social media (thanks to those cult followings), and resulted in direct partnerships between RH and many of the vendors featured.

To be specific, Joe’s Pizza, arguably Manhattan’s greatest slice, has gone bicoastal, setting up shop in Los Angeles without missing a note. In fact it’s creepy how much it tastes like the original. Well, more delicious than creepy, but still—right down to the crust, this is a pie that’ll have you screaming at taxis and chasing subways in your mind when you bite in and close your eyes. Which, to any ex-New Yorker, is something akin to inner peace.

Not Your Mama’s Kitchen is serving up classic soul food and popping up all over town now that they’ve got a food truck to expedite their wares. Pitch-perfect fried chicken, alongside homestyle mac & cheese and other sides bring in scores of customers looking for Sunday dinner, whether it’s Sunday night or Tuesday afternoon.

Helmed by Autumn Collins, a former night nurse who invested all of her savings into a flat-top grill, Sharrific Tacos delivers a distinct brand of Mexican fusion. Collins sells her home-cooked wonders out of her home, at various parks, or at parties throughout LA. Her catering’s become big business, and each taco hides even bigger taste.

“I write about how the community they found strengthened bonds and boosted profits for all of them too. I also chose these chefs because of their already-strong social media following & ability to share the article wide and fast. This boosted traffic to Roaming Hunger's blogs.”
